As part of our commitment to continuous improvement and strategic alignment, we have established a new IGP Executive Committee under the leadership of Marco Giacomelli, Head of IGP. This committee is positioned to provide strategic direction and oversight, working in conjunction with the IGP Management Team.
Marco Giacomelli
Head of IGP Employee Benefits Network
Marco Giacomelli heads the IGP global employee benefits network.
Marco is an actuary and former Navy officer with a 30-year career in the global insurance market, with assignments of increasing responsibility in Italy, USA, Philippines, Belgium and United Kingdom.
Marco joined IGP in 2021, following several leadership roles in the Assicurazioni Generali group, most recently as Chief Executive Officer of Generali Global Health (UK) and Chief Insurance Officer of the Generali Employee Benefits network.
Marco is the former Chairman of the International Employee Benefits Association (IEBA), and a Fellow of the UK Institute of Directors.
David Bisch
Chief Technical & Insurance Officer
Dave is the Chief Technical and Insurance Officer, providing oversight for Portfolio Management, Underwriting, and Products & Services.
David has been working in the Employee Benefits industry since the mid-nineties in a variety of leadership, operations, business analysis and risk management roles. David has lead the IGP Technical Services & Underwriting team since 2014, providing oversight for Portfolio Management, Underwriting, and development of IGP’s Products & Services.
David graduated from the University of Waterloo with a BA in Economics and is located in IGP’s office in Waterloo, Canada.
Tamara Laanen
Chief Commercial Officer
Tamara Laanen is the Chief Commercial Officer and leads our three commercial teams across the Americas, APAC, and EMEA.
Tamara Laanen is the Chief Commercial Officer at IGP, bringing over twenty years of experience in the employee benefits industry. She has a solid track record of improving customer experiences and developing practical solutions. Tamara's understanding of market trends and dedication to quality have significantly contributed to IGP’s growth and success.
Tamara's leadership style is characterized by her ability to inspire and empower teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance, for which she received the nomination for the Global Manulife Leadership Impact Award. She is a passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, ensuring that every voice is heard and valued. Her strategic acumen and ability to navigate complex challenges have earned her a reputation as a trusted expert and industry thought leader.
Tamara holds two Bachelor's degrees in International Business from Western Carolina University, in NC / USA and in Economics from the Avans University of Applied Sciences, in the Netherlands.
In addition to her professional achievements, Tamara is dedicated to continuous learning and development, staying ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies. She believes that "Success is not just about achieving goals, but about empowering others to reach their full potential." Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, and improving her painting skills.
Wim Moldenaers
Chief Network Officer
Wim Moldenaers is the Chief Network Officer, managing the relationships with IGP’s existing and new partners globally.
Wim started his career at IGP’s regional office in Brussels in 1992, first in a support function in the business development department before becoming an account manager dealing directly with multinationals and their global and local advisors. Wim moved to Thomson Financial Services dealing directly with the trading rooms in the leading banks in the UK, the Benelux and the Nordics.
Wim rejoined IGP’s office in Brussels at the end of 1998 in a commercial function and became part of IGP’s Management Team in 2012 when he became responsible for part of the business development team.
In 2021, Wim changed his role and became the relationship manager for IGP’s existing and new Network Partners, initially for the EMEA region, but quickly the role become global working closely with IGP’s Regional Heads in the Far East and Latam.
Wim has 30 years experience in the employee benefit world and is combining his commercial experience with his technical/actuarial knowledge to continue to grow the IGP network.
Wim holds a Bachelor degree in Computer Science from the University of Leuven (Belgium), and a Master degree in Economics from Odisee in Brussels (Belgium). He also has an actuarial diploma from INSERT, the competence center of Assuralia, the professional association of the Belgian insurers.
Britt Verhoeven
Chief Operating Officer
Britt Verhoeven is Chief Operating Officer, overseeing the integrated departments of Account Coordination and Operations, including Administration and IT
Britt holds a Master’s degree in Translator English and Russian. She started her career at IGP Europe in 2000 as Pooling Coordinator. After a decade in that role, she changed responsibilities and became the Business Development Manager dealing with multinationals in the Benelux, Ireland and Denmark.
In 2016, she was promoted to Assistant Director – Account Development (Support) and subsequently advanced to Global Head of Account Coordination. In this capacity, her team support IGP International Accounts worldwide. She is also IGP’s Training Coordinator, overseeing internal workshops as well as the IGP Network Partner Academy.
As of February 15, 2025, Britt has taken on the role of Chief Operating Officer, where she oversees the integrated departments of Account Coordination and Operations, including Administration, IT, and key strategic technology initiatives.
