SPP Livförsäkring AB (SPP) is one of the leading companies within the occupational pensions market in Sweden. It offers a complete range of life insurance products for occupational and private customers. SPP’s products are marketed via insurance advisors, independent brokers, and direct sales and telemarketing. Currently, SPP has SEK 117 billion (USD 14.5 billion) in assets under management.
SPP includes SPP Liv Fondförsäkring, SPP Liv Pensionstjänst and SPP Konsult.
In 2008, SPP became part of the Storebrand Group. Together, Storebrand and SPP form the largest occupational pensions company in the Nordic region. They also own 75% of Nordben Life and Pension Insurance Co. Ltd., which offers insurance solutions to the staff of multinational Nordic corporations employed abroad. Nordben has been an IGP Network Partner since 2000.
The Storebrand Group, with roots dating back to 1767, is a leading provider in the Norwegian market for pensions, life and health insurance, banking and asset management. In 2006, Storebrand expanded its product line to include property and casualty insurance products. Storebrand has a dominant position in the Norwegian life insurance market with an approximate share of 27.4% as measured by total premiums and in 2008, had total premium income of NOK 16.3 billion (USD 2.57 billion). Storebrand is the IGP Network Partner in Norway.
