SE Sampo Life Insurance Baltic was founded in 2007 when the Sampo Life Insurance Company Limited merged three of its life insurance subsidiaries operating in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
SE Sampo Life is domiciled in Estonia and operates in Latvia and Lithuania via branch offices. It is the third largest life insurance company in the Baltic region and serves more than 40,000 customers. SE Sampo Life offers a range of insurance products and services, including life and unit-linked savings insurance, to both individuals and corporate customers.
The sole shareholder of SE Sampo Life Insurance Baltic is Sampo Life Insurance Company Limited, the IGP Network Partner for Finland since 1988. Sampo Life is the leading life insurance company in Finland with a market share of almost one third. Sampo Life is also the leader in the corporate market based on premium volume written.
Sampo Life is owned by Sampo plc, the parent company of the Sampo Group, which was originally founded in 1909. Sampo Life plc has been listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange since 1987 and has approximately EUR 5 billion (USD 7.85 billion) in investment assets.
