International Expatriate Benefits (CIEB)

CIGNA International Expatriate Benefits (“CIEB”)* works with IGP to provide medical plans for the expatriate and third country national employees of IGP clients on a non-pooled basis.** CIEB is a division of CIGNA Corporation and is one of the largest providers of medical benefits for expatriates and third-country nationals (“TCNs”) in the world.

For the past 25 years, CIEB has provided employer-sponsored expatriate benefit plans to more than 750 clients covering more than 200,000 employees, their dependents, and business travelers throughout the world. More than 300 individuals are dedicated to CIEB’s business of providing the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

The CIEB membership card is recognized worldwide and gives the member and his or her dependents access to hospitals, clinics, physicians and specialists throughout the world. CIEB’s worldwide claims processing system provides prompt reimbursement to either the provider or the member upon receipt of the claim. Reimbursement can be provided in more than 100 currencies and by EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) to bank accounts located in the US. CIEB’s secure Service Information Center web site provides easy access for filing and checking on the status of claims as well as obtaining information on benefits and wellness issues. Members can also make use of the toll-free telephone and fax service that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

For emergency assistance and evacuation, CIEB works with International SOS (“ISOS”), the world’s largest provider of global health care assistance. ISOS has approximately 250 physicians and 500 medical personnel in alarm centers and/or clinics in 46 countries worldwide.

CIEB became affiliated with the International Group Program in 2002.
