Aviva
Insurance Company, ZAO
Aviva Insurance Company, ZAO was established in 2005, but Aviva actually sold its first insurance policy in Russia over 150 years ago. One of Aviva's predecessor companies, the Northern Insurance Company, began doing business in St. Petersburg in 1856. The Northern Insurance Company later became part of Commercial Union, one of the founding members of Aviva. Norwich Union, also a member of Aviva, first began selling insurance in Russia in 1879. In 1917, all international insurance companies ceased trading in Russia following the Russian Revolution.
Aviva Insurance Company offers insurance products and solutions for individuals and companies, including bancassurance. Backed by the financial resources and vision of its parent company, Aviva Insurance Company provides its customers with advanced solutions for life, protection and pension insurance as well as a high level of service and expertise.
