AG Employee Benefits
AG Insurance offers a comprehensive range of life, disability, and pension products and is known for its proactive client information and services. It markets its products and services to individuals and small and medium-sized companies via independent agents, brokers and its bancassurance affiliates. Larger companies are serviced by AG Insurance’s Employee Benefits division.
With EUR 1,267 billion (USD 1,755 billion) in written premiums, AG Insurance has a market share of 30% of the second pillar market, making it the largest group insurer in Belgium. In the health care market, AG Insurance is the second largest provider with a client base of more than 800,000 insureds, representing 14% of the market.
AG Insurance has roots dating back to 1824, when it was founded as Assurances Générales, now abbreviated as “AG”. In 2008, AG Insurance had total premium income of over EUR 6 billion (USD 8.3 billion), 77% of which was related to life insurance and 23% to non-life. AG has a solvency margin of twice the statutory minimum and currently employs more than 5,500 people.
